KAMALPUR, Sep 17 (TIWN): After completing the run at North and Unakoti districts, the golden jubilee lamp of the State Athletic Association reached Kamalpur here today.

At around 1 pm, the rally reached the Nagar Panchayat Office where MLA Anjan Das and Chairperson Subrata Bhattacharjee received the lamp from Amiya Debroy.

Then a group comprising of some school kids and Nagar Panchayat Councillors roamed the town area with the lamp. In that occasion, MLA Anjan Das delivered a short speech in which he praised the effort and also trumpeted the development works of the state government. Chairperson Subrata Bhattacharjee also spoke on the occasion.

But what remained mysterious was that, the state Athletic Association suddenly woke up from their slumber to observe the 50^th anniversary and its too after the huge sponsorship of ONGC.

Otherwise, the state Athletic Association never found to search for talents and to rear them up in the sub-divisions. Hence, this uproar of the Association made the concerned astonished.

It might be mentioned here that, the Golden Jubilee celebration would be observed at Dasharath Deb Sports Complex from 25^th to 28^th September next.
