AGARTALA, Sep 14 (TIWN): Many big trees fall down at Matrangibari, Amarpur - Udaipur roadway due to heavy rain.
Landslides were also seen in many areas of the road. Motorists and vehicles all paused for hours.
The bi-cycles riders and the pedestrians are managing to crawl through under the fallen trees.
No one has been injured in the incident, as the incident has occurred at the late night when the roads were not so busy.
According to the locals, till morning 11 am no officials had visited the spot. Agitated locals seeing no alternative took the initiative and started to chop the tree so that the traffic could get in to smooth convenience soon.
Reportedly, several vehicles have been stranded after the incident occurred at Amarpur- Udaipur road due to the sudden falling of trees on the road. However, the vehicle movement are smooth now.
