AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Making an emphatic all to the High Court of Tripura to reconsider its decision of sacking them, hundreds of terminated teachers organized a rally here today.
The rally, which was kicked off from Agartala Press Club, ended at Circuit House. However, there was no slogan against the verdict. It was a silent procession yet very significant.
Terminated teachers wearing posters- What will happen to my mother if I am sacked from the job, I appeal the Hon’ble court to reconsider its verdict and was it my mistake, marched the streets.
Earlier, the High Court asked the state government to sack all 10323 teachers of different categories for flouting the revised employment policy by 31.12. 2014.
In the verdict, it also asked the government to initiate a fresh recruitment drive to fill up the vacant posts at the earliest.
However, the state government has decided to appeal the Supreme Court against the High Court verdict.
Ruling party- CPM and its frontal organizations dubbed the High Court verdict as unkind and appealed the court to reconsider the decision.
