SONAMURA, Sep 9 (TIWN): The agitated consumers failing to collect their cylinders from the agency has hit the street and blocked the traffic movement for hours. The protest continued till 10 in the morning.

The deprived agitators stated that till their demand of regularizing the supply of cooking gas are not fulfilled; they are not going to withdraw the protest.  

Besides, they also demanded a higher official should meet them so that they can enhance the problem lingering for prolonged many days.

However, it seems like despite of the introduction of modified direct benefit transfer scheme for LPG, black marketers of domestic cooking gas cylinders making the availability of the LPG cylinder tough for the consumers of Sonamura

The consumers further alleged that every time the agency makes a lame excuse that there is no adequate bulk of cylinders where as they are providing cylinders to those who are ready to buy in with higher range.
