AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): Whereas children, students, youths, club members are eagerly waiting for Durga Puja celebration, but Puja means different for grown-ups who have to manage the puja budget amidst price hike & huge puja donation-demands.

Day by day the price of daily commodities are increasing including dresses, foods and other items. But there is no relief from the donation-demands by the club members.

The red eyes of the club members force to give one third of an employee’s salaries in the name of celebrating Durga Puja.

The donation was at the beginning was just a medium to seek help from public as per their ability, but now it has turned worse than Tax Collection during monarchy.

Rs. 3,000/-, Rs. 4,000/-, Rs. 10,000/- --the demand has no limit. Although from police side full support to the households are ensured, but the outrages in the name of donation continues.

Thus rather than enjoyment, Durga Puja has now become a horror for the common people. Beyond limitation, common people have to give donations to the puja committee members.
