AGARTALA, Aug 29 (TIWN): The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi met the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee of 2016, including Indian Gymnast Dipa Karmakar, in New Delhi on Sunday.
Sindhu, Sakshi Malik, Dipa Karmakar and Jitu Rai together met Modi in New Delhi on Sunday. The Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports (I/C), Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Shri Vijay Goel was also present.
Dipa's coach Bisheshwar Nandi has been selected for the Dronacharya award along with Indian cricket team's Test skipper Virat Kohli's coach Raj Kumar Sharma, athletics coach Nagapuri Ramesh and boxing coach Sagar Mal Dhayal.
