AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): Tripura Infoway is all set to organise its third conclave on August 26 at Sukanta Academy from 3 pm onwards.
Since the inception of Tripura Conclave, it has taken up issues based on the importance of India’s North East every year.
Addressing the press meet on Wednesday at Press club, both the convenor of Tripura Conclave Subir Bhowmik (former BBC Bureau Chief and author) and Saumen Sarker, (Editor Tripura Infoway) said that the main issue of Tripura Infoway’s third conclave deals with Cross-Border terrorism in Bangladesh: Its implications for India’s Border States.
They further said that It is a one-day event begins with an indoor brainstorming session between invited experts / decision-makers, then followed by a public session at 3pm at Sukanta Academy, Agartala.
Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy consented to deliver the keynote address. In 2016, it has been decided to discuss the “Cross-Border Terrorism in Bangladesh: Implications for India’s border states.”
Some speakers from India and Bangladesh will deliberate on this issue at the open session like every year. But, more importantly, a close-door Track 2 dialogue involving top security and intelligence officials of India (specially from states bordering Bangladesh) and Bangladesh.
