KAMALPUR, Aug 20 (TIWN): The crime against woman not seems to decline in the state in this golden period. When police came under the allegation of illegal affairs violating all rules and customs then a relative was nabbed at Kamalpur for raping another relative.

According to the incident, one Amulya Debbarma (46) of Maharanipur raped and molested his distant relative at his residence namely Mangarani Debbarma (28) of Bichitra Choudhury Para.

The incident took place at around 6 pm on 17^th August. Then the victim woman first informed the matter to her near and dear ones. And in their guidance she lodged a case with Salema Police Station on that very day.

Police registered a case numbered 25/2016 under sections 342 and 376 of IPC. Later during the investigation police nabbed Amulya last night. Then he was produced before the Court here today.

However, this incident sparked resentment among the locales. At the same time, the so-called demands of the ruling party of making a conscious Tripura once again came before a big question mark.
