KAMALPUR, Aug 20 (TIWN): The continuous saga of rape and women related crime once again tainted the police of the state. This time an SI was caught red handed at the residence of a woman constable at Ambassa last night around 1 am. Ultimately, the Additional SP Kishore Debbarma had to intervene to stop the illegal affairs as the local people and other cops reported.

According to the information, last night three police officers from three different police stations enjoyed a late night party at the house of a mobile trader at Ambassa. SI Subimal Debnath of Ambassa, SI Satyajit Mallick of Bisalgarh police station and OC of Salema police station Ranjit Debnath joined the aprty along with another SPO Tapas.

The party ended around 1 am. Then the officers departed. And Subimal returned to the police station. But instead of going to his residence, he entered the residence of woman constable Bibhiska Debbarma. Local people noticed the matter.

They kept a watch on the happenings. At the same time, they informed the police. Then Additional SP Kishore Debbarma reached the spot and found the duo in obscene condition. He ordered Subimal to come out of the room of Bibhiska.

This incident sparked resentment among the locales. BJP planned to gave deputation regarding the incident. Local people might also gheraod the police station. However, the role of police in the entire incident not became clear till now.
