AGARTALA, Aug 17 (TIWN): Tripura state cabinet recently decided to do recruitment for teacher in September who qualified the Teachers Aptitude test.
However, Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty informed it recently to the press.
He further said that TET exam of pre- elementary and elementary level will be held on September 25 and TET for Graduate and Post Graduate teachers will be held on November 20. Beside the state cabinet has created 264 posts of male warder and 24 posts of female warder for Central Correctional centre today, he added.
According to the NCTE guidelines passing the TET is compulsory. The TET examination will be in two sections - Paper 1 for teacher’s upto class five and Paper 2 upto class eight. In each paper there shall be examination in six sections and the total mark of 150 and to qualify the candidate has to get at least 60 percent mark.
TET pass certificate shall be valid for seven years and it is not mandatory that if anyone passes the TET examination shall be entitled to get a job but they shall be getting preference and according to the mark scored.
