DAMCHARA, Aug 4 (TIWN): Whether central govt. is flowing funds for Northeast India and Tripura’s ADC area’s development, Tripura’s tribal areas yet to see any glimpses of development.
With the ADC Election coming the national Communist leaders like Brinda Karat are flying to Tripura to beg ADC votes. But unfortunately, Tripura’s ADC villages left without basic health, education care even after the 23 years of regime under CPI-M.
Example is Damchara RD Block under which more than 1 lakh people are living. But it has only 1 Primary Hospital which is also the centre for whole Panisagar district. Patients do not get their basic health facilities. Ambulance, beds, proper sanitary system, cleanliness—all these are matters of dream for the people of that area. But maximum time patients can’t meet the doctors also there.
Whereas in the name of health service every year crores of funds are getting allocated, but the proper utilization of those funds are invisible from there.
Malaria grip the ADC areas every year, but the tribal people of ADC areas are long deprives under this so called golden era. At Damchara, schools are so much lifeless as there are no basic facilities; and ‘quality education’ suffers from lack of teachers.
Nothing is provided to the people at there. Earlier the block was under Kumarghat, which was constructed in 2002, and then it was divided as Damchara RD Block.
But corruption under the block is so much that from MGNREGA to power, roads, connectivity, school everything is neglected in that area.
Political leaders although fly to the spots before election, but during the whole year nobody cares for the hilly people. As a result, after 2 decades of CPI-M regime, the ADC areas are same as before. But shameless politicians run there to beg votes and fool the people at there.
