AGARTALA, May 01 (TIWN): Additional Chief Secretary, Kasthala Venkata Satyanarayana, on Wednesday retired after completing 32 years of service. He was given a warm farewell in the state secretariat upon his retirement
Later the IAS officers association of which Mr. Satyanarayana was the president bid him farewell in the state guest house. Responding to heart - warming appreciation of fellow IAS officers, the outgoing Additional Chief Secretary recalled his initial days in Tripura after joining service and said that over the past three decades Tripura has come a long way.
He also expressed the hope that his fellow officers and juniors would take the state forward. In the reception IAS officers association selected G K Rao as the new president while M.Nagaraju continues to be the secretary.
Meanwhile, the departments held by Mr. Satyanarayana have been reallocated among other senior officers. While M. Nagaraju has been allocated the department of power, finance has gone to Chief Secretary Dr. S. K. Panda and secretary ship to Chief Minister and GA (CC) has been allocated to Y. Kumar.
