KAMALPUR, June 29 (TIWN): The dynamic state government and its hyper-active Education department set up many exemplary instances of excellence in the state! In fact, the trumpeted demands of the party leaders and Ministers made this scenario very evident time and again.
But the actual scenario turned so grave and gloomy in these years of unrestrained power that the students of a school within 12 kilometer of distance from the sub-divisional headquarter of Kamalpur experience completely opposite saga.
The Baghaicharri SB School within the distance of 12 kilometres from the sub-divisional headquarter of Kamalpur lacked the basic facilities. The school had 54 students in total from class I to class VIII. In the upper primary level i.e. from class VI to VIII the number of students remained 29.
The number of teachers in primary and upper primary level remained 6 including the HM. The school suffered due to lack of teachers. Further, the school not provided with source of safe drinking water.
More importantly, the school got a computer set and fans as the BSF distributed to the school in civic action program. But all those appliances remained unused for years as the school had no electric connection.
Now, the students of the remote tribal hamlet who remained very keen to learn computer remained deprived as the government failed to provide connectivity. And still the boasting of ‘golden regime’ continued.
