Agartala, Sept 21(TIWN): A dreaded miscreant and main accused of two sensational murder cases, Amitabh Ghosh alias Ankan was nabbed today evening by police. Officer – in – charge of East Agartala police station, S N Basu Ray Chowdhury informed that acting on secret information; a police team led by DSP (central) Rajendra Datta nabbed the dreaded miscreant from his house in motor stand, under East Agartala police station.

From his possession, police recovered a 9mm pistol and 5 rounds of bullets. The police officer informed that he was one of the man accused of two sensational murder cases of Mantu Das and Shyamal Bardhan that took place in Agartala city. He was absconding after was released on bail. The arrest of the dreaded miscreants before Durga Puja is seen as great achievement by Tripura police.
