AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, along with Tripura Sport Minister Sahid Chowdhury visited the under construction sports complex at Netaji Chowmuhani.

The sport complex however very old, but a new facelift is giving to it.

Tripura Gynmast girl Dipa Karmakar under his coach Bisweswar Nandi was also trained from this centre.

Netaji Subhas Regional Coaching Centre (NSRCC) has been well popular for its various kinds of sports which are trained inside the complex.

But the construction work here presently is going slow due to the negligence of Sports Dept.

However, with this visit, the work may get a speed now.

The department of sports itself is neglected in Tripura since from the beginning and allegations are there that this is the prime reason that why sports complexes are not yet developed in state.

The under construction work was going on since many years, without progress.

However, after monitored by the Chief Minister himself hope is high among the emerging sports-starts that the complex may emerge in a new facelift.
