AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): Tripura Bar Association on Tuesday honored Supreme Court judge Anil R Dave who has arrived in Tripura to held the Regional meet of the State Legal Services Authorities or North Eastern States at Agartala High court.
He was accompanied by Tripura High Court Chief Justice Tinlianthang Vaiphei, Justice Subhashish Talapatra.
On June 18, Anil R Dave giving importance to the necessity ‘Law’ he said that Law and order is something which differentiates us from animals.
‘Lawless society is barbaric’, he added.
Anil R Dave has arrived in Tripura to attend the Regional meet of the State Legal Services Authorities or North Eastern States at Agartala High court.
However, it’s worthy to mention that Tripura’s law and order situation leading into a very bad shape. In this situation how far Judge’s message will be reached to the mass and aware people it’s a matter of time to see.
Anil R Dave was as an Advocate on 25 July 1976 and started practicing in various matters.
He served as a Solicitor to the Government of Gujarat, Additional Government Pleader to Gujrat High Court and part-time Lecturer in Sir L.A. Shah Law College.
He was appointed as Additional Judge to the Gujarat High Court on 18.09.1995 and confirmed as Permanent Judge on 18.06.1997. Thereafter transferred to Andhra Pradesh High Court as the Chief Justice 07 January 2008.
While holding the post of Chief Justice of High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad, he served as the Patron and Chairman of the Advisory Council of International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ICADR), Regional Centre, Hyderabad and Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. On 11 February 2010 he was transferred to Bombay High Court and from there he was elevated as Judge to Supreme Court of India on 30.04.2010.
