AGARTALA, June 14 (TIWN): State observed the 88th birth anniversary of late Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara on Tuesday across the state.
As part of the program, the members of DYFI and also SFI paid floral tribute to the statue of Che Guevara.
Che Guevara is considered Marxist revolutionary.
Che Guevara was a theoretician and tactician of guerrilla warfare, prominent communist figure in the Cuban Revolution (1956–59), and guerrilla leader in South America.
After his execution by the Bolivian army, he was regarded as a martyred hero by generations of leftists worldwide, and his image became an icon of leftist radicalism and anti-imperialism.
Along with Agartala city, the birth anniversary of Che Guevara was also observed across the state with pomp and gaiety.
