BELONIA, June 5 (TIWN): Three days Hepatitis-B eradication program started from today itself in Belonia Municipility . Dr Pradip Bhowmik inaugurated the Program.

He mentioned that government will provide all possible support, so that the goal of eradication of Hepatitis-B would be achieved.

He further said that Hepatitis-B vaccination would be made part of the ambitious Indradhanush programme and in the couple of years 65 to 90% coverage would be achieved.

Still, a large of people remains outside the reach of the vaccination and other protective measures adopted by the Foundation. In this context, to uproot this disease completely from the State, a wide public consensus and consciousness is very much needed.” said the Chairperson of Belonia.
