AGARTALA, April 17 (TIWN): Representative team of Tripura Farm Labour Union on Sunday placed deputation to Animal Resource Development Aghore Debbarma.
With five points charter of demands the Representative team of Tripura farm labour Union on Sunday placed deputation to Animal Resource Development Aghore Debbarma at his residential complex.
To recruit skilled labourers in the farm for smooth work, to provide job to any family member in case of the death of the labourers working in the farm, to fulfil the vacancy in the farm, to regularise the workers in the farm along with a total of five charter of demands the Representative team of Tripura farm sramik Union on Sunday placed deputation to Animal Resource Development Aghore Debbarma.
It is pertinent to mention here that employment opportunities in traditional agriculture sector are shrinking rapidly and there is virtually no scope for employment of rural unskilled youths in capital intensive industrial units. On the other hand, demands for milk, meat, egg & other livestock related products are growing exponentially due to population explosion, high GDP growth, growing urbanization and change in the food habits of the middle & upper strata of the society. Animal Husbandry and Dairy sectors therefore have the seminal potential to open up new vistas for large scale employment generation.
