Kamalpur, April 11 (TIWN): The much proclaimed demand of better health facility and alround infrastructural development of the State government once again proved to be a demand for namesake. And it happened as a health Sub-Centre remained deprived of the electricity connection even after the two years of inauguration. The case happened at Noagaon panchayat under Kamalpur sub-division.

The new premise of the sub-centre was inaugurated in 2014. The building had all the facility of internal electrification. But, till date the centre not got the connection. As a result, the ailing patients who used to gather in the sub-centre in large numbers everyday had to suffer due to the lack of electricity. Inside the centre the ceiling fans, lights and switch boards remained everywhere and in abound. But those remained of no utility. Only if strong winds blow then the fans made a whirling. Due to the lack of electrification, the internal water supply system also collapsed. The staffs had to manage water with some waged laborer.

When asked, the staffs of the sub-centre informed that, they got the information of providing connectivity shortly. But the same assurance not got fulfilled for last two years and hence they continued their service without much ado in this regard.
