AGARTALA, April 6 (TIWN): Tripura Khet Mujdur Union on Wednesday placed deputation to CM Manik Sarkar with 7 charters of demands in a mass gathering program near RS Bhawan.
Members of the Tripura Khet Mujdur union on from all the districts will gather at Paradise Chowmuhani at 2 and they staged gathering in front of RS Bhawan and later hold an assembly march.
Tripura Khet Mazdoor Union literally 'Indian Land Workers Union' is a trade union of agricultural labourers in India. TKMU is politically tied to the Communist Party of India (CPI). TKMU is independent from both the main trade union central of CPI, the All India Trade Union Congress, as well as the farmers' organisation of CPI, the All India Kisan Sabha.
Funds should be increased for mahatma Gandhiu gramin rojgar yojana, work should be provided for 250 days in a year with Rs 300 as daily wage along with a total of 7 charters of demands the Tripura Khet Mujdur Union placed deputation to CM Manik Sarkar.
Thousands of men and women joined the procession to participate in the assembly march.
