KAMALPUR, April 6 (TIWN): Keeping in the continuation of the crime against women in the state, another housewife was attempted to be molested last night at Madanpur area under Mahabir village of Kamalpur. The family members and the locales nabbed and handed over the culprit to the police. And the police booked the accused under the intoxication case.

According to the complaint lodged with police, one Pradip Pashi of Madanpur, Mahabir area forcibly entered the house of one Shambhu Pashi of the area around 9-30 pm.

Then Pradip tried to molest Shambhu’s wife Rupali (21) as Shambhu was not at home. At this Rupali raised a hue and cry and her in-laws Bidyapati Pashi and Rabina Debbarma rushed into the rescue of Rupali. They also got hit by Pradip. In the meanwhile, the males of the family along with other neighbors rushed there and caught Pradip. Then they informed the police and Kamalpur police took him under custody.

But, today, the police forwarded Pradip to the Court booked him under intoxication case. Now, how police could change such a serious matter into an intoxication case remained the matter to be seen.
