AGARTALA, March 30 (TIWN) : Tripura high court slashes fraud 'Sristi Cable Network' for selling set-top box for cable-connected TV sets to customers at rates much higher which was fixed by the central TRAI authority.
Chief justice Deepak Kumar Gupta and Justice Swapan Chandra Das also ordered all the Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDM) to review the quality of set-top boxes and the prices regarding.
It is also learnt that 'Sristi Cable Network' is the only registered with TRAI authority of Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) .Moreover SRISTI sales set top box without giving any receipt of payment to customers.
'Sristi Cable Network' has been nowadays cheating customers in many ways but no such active steps have been taken so far by administration. So at least today’s high court order might help common people .
