AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN) : The Union DoNER Minister Jitendra Singh on Saturday met Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar at Civil Secretariat.
However, during his visit in Tripura in the year 2015 October 9, Minister promised the CM Tripura will get the much awaited broad-gauge rail link facility by March next year and his words have not proven wrong any way.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Dr Jitendra Singh after a meeting with Chief Minister, Manik Sarkar in Agartala expressed this confidence. Soon after his arrival on a two-day visit to Tripura Union Minister met the CM at the civil secretariat and discussed about many issues relating to state development.
In addition to improving the transport infrastructure in the region, this would also be an adjuvant to India’s “Act East” policy under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Dr. Jitendra Singh.
However, after the successful visit in 2015, October and with the coming of broad gauge here this time Minister has stressed on the working developments of the ongoing projects and the new projects which are launching especially for NE India.
It’s to be mentioned here that Jitendra Singh (born 6 November 1956) is an Indian politician who is the Minister of State (MoS)(Independent Charge) for the NE states. He is a (BJP) National Executive member and was the chief spokesperson for the State Jammu & Kashmir.
