AGARTALA, March 26 26 (TIWN): Union Minister of State for Development of the North-eastern Region (DoNER) Jitendra Singh on Saturday inaugurated the Annual conference of Tripura Journalists Union at press club.
The program was mainly held under the banner of Annual state conference and meeting of NE India federation of journalists.
However, MP Jiten Chowdhury also remained present in the program.
Inaugurating the program of Tripura Journalist Union State meet at Agartala Press Club DoNER Minister Jitendra Singh said that the northeast will be developed into a key destination for young entrepreneurs and start-ups,”
Annual conference of Tripura Journalists Union was held on March 27 at press club. It was decided in the meeting of Executive Committee of TJU. All India Vice President of TJU Gitartha Pathak presided over the event.
The committee decided has invited D. Amar, All India General Secretary of TJU to attend the annual conference. Meanwhile invitation letter has been sent to All India G.S. to take part in the conference. Besides, the officials of TJU from 7 states of North Eastern Region are invited to join in the conference.
On the other hand the Executive Committee decided to take legal action at Press Council of India or appropriate authority as TJU has no delegate at Press Accreditation Committee of the State Government in spite of appealing to Governor and Chief Minister. The Executive Committee also decided to send 4 members at National Executive Committee meeting of TJU to be held at Wrangle on March 27.
