AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Union Minister of State for Development of the North-eastern Region (DoNER) Jitendra Singh in a visit to the state on Saturday meet CM Manik Sarkar on Saturday at Civil secretariat and hold discussion on the status of the various undergoing development project in the state.
Union Minister of State for Development of the North-eastern Region (DoNER) Jitendra Singh in a meet with CM Manik Sarkar further assured that the DoNER ministry will provide all the necessary help required for the development of the state.
Jitendra Singh (born 6 November 1956) is an Indian politician who is the Minister of State (MoS) (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Prime Minister Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space. He is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive member and was the chief spokesperson for the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
He won the Udhampur seat in Indian general election, 2014 for the 16th Lok Sabha. He was a professor of diabetes and endocrinology,[6] a consultant and clinical practitioner, author of 8 books, and a newspaper columnist. He is the ex-Chairman, National Scientific Committee Diabetes, Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India.
It is to be mentioned here that Dr. Singh is supposed to join a party programme at Rabindra Bhavan on Saturday evening where more than thousand of party delegates from across the state will remain present. In the programme, the Union Minister is expected to highlight the BJP led government’s achievements and its budget.
