TELIAMURA (ADC Vill), March 14 (TIWN) : A 50 seated boys hostel has been made at an ADC area for North Maharanipur, under Teliamura Subdivision. The project for hostel construction costs atleast 1.5 crores, whereas the work had begun before 2 years.
Reportedly, to overcome the lack of Education, and to improve the quality of Education in tribal areas, state Govt. took the decision to make a new hostel with all kinds of facilities inside it including power generation, regular water supply and 3 times well cooked meal.
However, the building has been made before more than 9 months, as claimed by the contractor, but the facility of power is yet from the location. As the tribal areas generally faces power crisis and most of the time villagers spend their daily lives without power, so TSECL has no concern to uplift the hostel too, with proper power connectivity.
The regular problem across ADC Villages with power-supplying has become as an obstacle to inaugurate the hostel-building too.
Although the building has made in well design, but allegation are coming that the materials used in the construction work is of very poor quality.
It’s worthy to mention here that all the building constructions under Tripura contractors are suffering from their poor quality, and assumption says that the Maharanipur new hostel is also to suffer from such conditions once after students start to live at there.
However, the area once was occupied by terrorists and there was no sign for proper Education in those areas.
Locals were demanding to make this residential hostel and to provide quality Education in that area, since years.
Then with the investment of atleast Rs. 1.5 crores, the hostel had been made but till day no electricity connection has been provided at there.Although many times it was reported to the power dept. but authority has no concern about this.
Resentment is brewing among the locals for delaying of inauguration of this hostel.
