DHARMANAGAR, March 10 (TIWN) : Dharmanagar Book-fair for the year 2016 has begun on Thursday.Minister Bijita Nath inaugurated the programme on Thursday, 4 pm.
Other dignitaries as MLA Biswabandhu Sen, former MLA Amitabh Datta, Jilla Shabhadipati Pratima Das, Municipal Corporation Chairperson Shakti Bhattacharjee, Vice Chair-person Manik lal Nath were present during the inauguration programme.
With the budget of atleast Rs. 6 lakhs, Dharmanagar Book fair-2016, has been started with its 44 stalls.
On Tuesday, via a press meet Shakti Bhattacharjee, Chairman of Dhamanagar Municipal Corporation told the media that the budget of the book fair is around Rs. 6 lakhs and Dharmanagar Administration is hopeful that this book fair, like every year will draw public’s attention this time too.
However, whether the book fair earlier was held at Bir Bikram Institution School field, this time the fair has been shifted to Old Motor Stand ground.
During the speech Social Welfare Minister Bijita Nath expressed her happiness and said that book-fair would not be stopped there as it has become a pride for Dharmanagar subdivision.
