SABROOM, March 10 (TIWN) : Aiming to eradicate drinking water problem being faced by dwellers of Sakbari ADC Village area, though, a over head Tank was set up from Thirteen Finance Commission scheme under Satchand RD Block, no initiative was made for its functioning till date. The negligent role of concerned authority is sparking strong resentment among the local residents, sources said. The over head Tank was constructed at a cost of atleast Rs. 4 crores.

 Though, a considerable period was passed since its inauguration, the water treatment project is still remained nonfunctional.

As a result, the people residing under Sakbari ADC Village are facing acute drinking water crisis due to the negligence of concerned authority.

According to local sources, after several time complaints to BDO Satchand, the picture is still remained same.Now the over head tank is in deplorable condition.

A section of local residents alleged that huge amount of money was blackmails by CPIM goons and a active member of CPIM Party supporter Panchayat Secretary.
