DHARMANAGAR, March 9 (TIWN): With an aim to commemorate its 181 years in service of North East region, Assam Rifles organized rally which reached in Dharmanagar on Wednesday.
According to the reports, the state Tripura is being represented by HQ 21 sectors Assam Rifles, under the able Stewardship of the team leader captain, Anurag Sharma of 30 Assam Rifles.
The expedition had been earlier flagged off by Governor Tathagata Roy, at Agartala on march 8.
The expedition under the theme of ‘Vibrant Tripura’, conducted a cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, at Bagbasa North Tripura.
The drive was planned to depict the commitments of clean India, to the future generation and all responsible citizen.
The drive saw a participation of 200 students, and teachers from Holy Cross School, Bagbasa, 170 students from Bagbasa Madhyamik Vidyalaya, police, civil and a large gathering of personnel from 30 Assam Rifles.
The expedition team will be conducting similar drives to cause general awareness in public, along the expedition.
