AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN) : The state government is expecting to complete construction of the Indo-Bangla Maitri Park at Chottakhola in Belonia sub-division ahead of schedule for inauguration on February 21, 2015.All round construction work is already completed except Solar Light installation work and Drinking water source.
CM may visit Chottakhola Park to review ongoing works at the Chottakhola Maitri Park very soon.
The then External Affairs minister of Bangladesh Dr. Dipu Moni laid foundation stone for the Chottakhola Maitri in 2010; construction work developing the park is underway since then.
The Park is expected to be inaugurated on the forthcoming International Mother Language Day.
There used to be altogether 11 war fronts in Tripura during the 1971 liberation struggle of Bangladesh, Chottakhola Park used to be one of the base camps for Muktibahini soldiers. Bangladesh foreign minister Dipu Moni visited Tripura in 2010 and laid the foundation stone of the Park.
