AGARTALA, Jan 25 (TIWN): Keeping eye on the celebration of the Republic Day on January 26, a Tribal folk dance has been organized at the premises of Sukanta Academy.
The programme has been inaugurated by the District Magistrate of the West Millindh Ramteke in the presence of other dignitaries.
It is to be mentioned here that huge preparation is going on in the major parts of the State to celebrate the Republic day.
However, Republic Day is observed to pay honour to the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India.
The Constitution was first adopted by the Indian Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949. Later, it came into effect on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system, completing the country's transition towards becoming an independent republic.
Along with the Nation, Tripura is also gearing to celebrate Republic Day in a befitting manner throughout various day-long programmes onJanuary 26.
Reportedly, as a part of the preparation TSR, Tripura Police, BSF and Assam rifles are busy in parade practice at ground of Assam Rifles.
As part of day-long celebration, the main function is expected to take place at Assam Rifles ground.
The Indian Government has declared the day as a national holiday.
However, preparation is going on in full fledge in the State. Along with the capital other parts of the State will also celebrate the day.
