AGARTALA, Jan 23 (TIWN): Road accidents-leading to death and injuries have become a regular stuff. Recently in a road mishap on Saturday, 5 people were left seriously injured at Fire brigade Chowmuhani.

The victims are yet to be identified.

The incidents took place on Saturday at Firebrigade chowmuhani triggering panic all across at Agartala.

However, the accident occurred when an auto bearing number TR014372 lost control over the brakes and slipped into a roadside drain.  The drivers along with 4 other passengers were left injured in the accident. The front part of the vehicle was massively squeezed when the vehicles slipped into the drain.

The passengers stated that the auto was moving towards fire brigade chowmuhani from Durga chowmuhani area.

Getting alarm the local police reached the spot and immediately rushed the injured to the IGM and GB hospital.

The injured passengers were immediately rushed to GB hospital for treatment. The driver of the accused vehicles was sent to IGM hospital as he succumbed to serious injuries.

Getting alarm the localites reached to the spot and immediately got engaged in rescue drive

Observing the critical condition of the victim, the doctors admitted the all the driver of the auto in hospital and rest of the passengers were relapsed after first aid treatment.

However police is further investigating the case.
