BELONIA, Jan 19 (TIWN) : HC ordered to file affidavit by 14th March to 3 CPM leaders who remanded to custody in contempt of court case. Recently three leaders of the ruling CPI-M in Tripura have been remanded to 14 days judicial custody in a case of contempt of court. Tapas Dutta, secretary of the partys Belonia sub division, Trilokesh Sinha and Babul Chandra Nath, secretariat members of sub-divisional committee of CPI-M, surrendered before the court of Belonia Chief Judicial Magistrate Asit Debnath after which they were remanded to judicial custody. District and Session Judge of Belonia, Ruhidas Paul had filed a case against them that they had allegedly humiliated him and also ransacked the court on September 2 last, the day of opposition-sponsored Bharat bandh. Later, Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Deepak Gupta had visited the place and registered a suo moto case of contempt of court. The three leaders had filed a petition for anticipatory bail in the High Court which was rejected. Later the three leaders surrendered before the CJMs court.
