AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): The Tripura Motor Karmi Samity, a subsidiary of the CPI (M) trade union wing CITU organised a conference on Sunday at Muktodhara.
General Secretary of All India Transport Workers Federation K.S.Verma and other delegates inaugurated a daylong conference at Muktadhara Hall of IGM Choumuhani. He arrived at Agartala on January 16 through flight at 2 p.m. The INTUC leaders of the state welcomed him in the Airport.

Huge numbers of people participated from different parts of the state at the conference which held on January17.
Addressing the program, General Secretary of All India Transport Workers Federation K.S.Verma stated that the conditions of the transport workers are critical; no one takes any initiative to look after the welfare of the transport workers.
He also said that the state government clamours itself to be poor people party but never thinks for the welfare of the transport workers and we have raise voice for our demands.
However, General Secretary of All India Transport Workers Federation K.S. Verma also hold meeting with the leaders of INTUC on January 16 to know about the problems of labourers and motor workers in the state.
President of INTUC Dipak Kumar Roy, PCC president Birajit Sinha Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman remained present there as special guest. Besides opposition MLAs graced the programme as guest of honour.
