UDAIPUR, Jan 9 (TIWN): Reacting over the brutal attitude of the police constable of Kakrabon Police Station, Auto-Rickshaw Union on Friday called for three hours of auto strike at Udaipur sub-division.
Reportedly, the Auto-Rickshaw Union at first staged road blockade at Ramesh Choumuhani than later the members had called for three hours of auto strike at Udaipur sub-division, demanding to take strict action against the allegedly accused police constable of harassing an auto driver.
It is to be mentioned here that on January 7 an auto driver namely Bulu Datta (45) has been harassed by police constable of Kakrabon Police Station near Jamjari School ground.
According to the reports, Bulu Datta (45) has been harassed by police constable Biswajit Das when Datta was crossing the Jamjari School ground by carrying goods.
However, Bulu Datta (45) is an active member of Auto-Rickshaw Union.
Raising voice against the harassment, the members of Auto-Rickshaw Union Staged road blocked and later called for three hours auto strike.
Police force is a constituted body of persons empowered by the state to enforce the law, protect property, and limit civil disorder.
The term is most commonly associated with police services of a sovereign state that are authorized to exercise the police power of that state within a defined legal or territorial area of responsibility.
Locals complained that where police force is constituted to protect the people, the same police personal is harassing and violating the order of protecting the people.
However, the members are also going to place deputation to SDPO against the accused constable.
Besides, the locals also demanded to take strict action against the allegedly accused constable.
