AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): The rising crime against the women was clearly reflected in the inaugural speech of Governor Tathagata Roy on Friday while addressing the 9th assembly session of Tripura assembly at State Assembly House of Capital Complex. Conventionally, the first session of New Year in assembly or parliament begins with the speech of the Governor or President, which basically highlight the development agenda of the respective governments beyond politics. This session is the first session of the current year and like every year the assembly was kicked off with the inaugural speech of Governor Tathagata Roy. The inaugural speech of the Governor Tathagata Roy reflected the rising crime against women in the state under the left regime. Apart from the speaking o n the issue of the rising crime against Governor also laid stress on the on-going development project in the state.With the beginning of Assembly, after delivering of Governor Speech, the question hour started. Minister of various respective departments had replied to the question raised by MLA Ratan Lal Nath, Gopal Chandra Roy, Samir Deb Sarkar, Diba Chandra Hrwanghkhal, Birajit Sinha on the recent topics.Opposition leader and other further protested in front of speaker to discuss on the issue.
But during the time of calling Attention, Opposition Leader had attracted the Notice of the Speaker to give permission to discuss on the recent scandal of expelled MLA Manoranjan Acherjee.
But the Speaker had denied it. Only recent topics should be raised, in the mean time, Ratan lal Nath had also accompanied Mr. Barman and demanded discussion. Though Speaker remains stick to His point and processed the working of the Session.
