AGARTALA, Jan 7 (TIWN): Over past few days though there is slight relief from the falling temperature in Tripura, the Meteorology Department on Thursday predicted that there is chance of rainfall in the coming two days.
Talking to TTIWN correspondent, officials of meteorology department predicted that though there will not be major fall in the temperature this winter but there are chances of rainfall in the coming two days.
It is to be mentioned here that during past few days, Tripura got slightly relieved from the shivering cold in the state as the minimum temperature kept on hovering around 10 Degree Celsius.
The Meteorological Department confirmed that Tripura got slightly relieved from the shivering cold as the minimum temperature stands at 11.07 Degree Celsius and the temperature will rise up to 12 Degree Celsius on the coming days on Thursday.
In the forecast it has been mentioned that the sky is clear and mist fog is there.
Mostly during the winter season, life observed crippled across the state because of the chill and attendance seem to get poor in most schools and government offices. The streets wore a deserted look and business establishments were closed.
Tripura had recorded its lowest temperature in winter at 2° C in 1972.
However, generally, in Tripura winter starts from November. This year it has started from the month of December. On the other hand, it is observed that compare to other year this year the fall in the temperature was not much.
According to the prediction, there are chances of rain in two days therefore; the famers need to take precaution as the rain may hamper the cultivation.
