RANCHI / AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN) : A seven-member team would take the urn containing the mortal remains of 1971 war hero, Param Vir Albert Ekka, from Agartala to Jharkhand, according to sources in the government.
The wife of the martyr Balminda Ekka and son Vicent would also be part of the team, sources said. Ekka, who was with 14 Guards during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, was killed at the battle of Gangasagar and laid to rest at Dhulki, near Agartala.
The decision to form the team came after the martyr's family did not accept the urn from CM Raghubar Dar on December 3 at their village, Jari Gumla, questioning its authenticity
