AGARTALA, Jan 1 (TIWN): Preparation for the village committee election gained momentum after the State election commission has published the draft electoral role of polling station which is scheduled to be held in 2016.
However, the voters can lodge claims and objections about the polling booths of draft electoral roll till January 5.
After examining all the claims and objection, the state election commission will decide the final electoral roll for the village committee election which is scheduled to be held on February 2016.
With an aim to win the upcoming village committee election, all the political parties have geared up with the process of campaigning for the election.
The political party members have also started visiting Ambassa, Amarpur, Salema and Ampi and are also conducting meetings to discuss about the preparation for the village committee election.
It is to be mentioned here that PCC President staged meeting with the members and discussed about the various initiatives to be taken to win the upcoming election.
Recently, Dibachandra Rankhol had also conducted meeting in the North Tripura.
However, all the political parties in the state have geared up with the preparation for the upcoming Village Committee election.
As a part of the election preparation, BJP State President recently visited the area of Korbook to discuss about the preparation and the initiatives to be taken for the upcoming election.
However, it has been mentioned that in the coming days the preparation will be in full-fledged manner. Besides, preparations for the selection of the candidates are going on.
Parties are holding meeting in the various interior parts of the state with an aim to grab the seats in the upcoming election. It is to be mentioned Left Front Party has begin their campaigning for the village election long back.
