Agartala,Sep 14, (TIWN) Three-day long programme has been taken by the engineering fraternity with a view to observe the 46th Engineers’ Day celebration in the state. As a part of the celebration a debate and extempore speech competition was held on Saturday at Tripura Institute of Technology. Secretary of Higher Education Kishore Ambuly graced the programme as Chief Guest.
A plantation programme was organized on Saturday near the Heritage Park at Gurkhabasti where Forest Minister Jitendra Choudhury planted samplings - also a mass rally marched city starting from City Centre while PWD Minister Ratan Bhowmik was present.
Later, Finance Minister Badal Choudhury was present as Chief Guest and address in a seminar held at Balaka Hall in City Centre following a blood donation camp which was held at IE building where Dy. Speaker of State Legislative Assembly Pabitra Kar would remain present. It is mentionable here that Engineers’ Day is observed to mark the anniversary of MokshagundamVisvesarya on September 15 every year.
