KAMALPUR, Dec 21 (TIWN): The newly elected 11 members of Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat took their oath at the Town Hall on Monday. SDM Subhasis Das administered them during the occasion.

It's to be mentioned here that the Town hall was jam packed with party workers and supporters. The Party leadership including Sub-divisional Secretary Anjan Das, MLA Bijoy Lakshmi Sinha were present among others.

At first, the SDM read out the oath to the members one by one. After the oath taking of the eleven members, the elected members took a pause for a meeting between them as per formality. As was announced earlier, Subrata Bhattacharjee was selected as the Chairperson. Former Chairperson Khana Das was selected as the Vice-Chairperson. 

The oath taking ceremony fixed up the fate of Kamalpur to the hands of Subrata and Khana for next five years. Now what they would plan for the development and beautification of this border adjacent and long deprived town remained the matter to be seen.
