UDAIPUR / AGARTALA, Dec 12 (TIWN): In all the 21 seats of the Udaipur Municipal council, Left front has captured in altogether 18 wards and congress has gained the margin by winning in only 3 wards.
With the declaration of the results of the civic poll, LF has captured the majority by winning in 18 wards at Udaipur Municipal council and only 3 wards is won by congress.
As excepted Left Front candidates are leading in maximum seats under Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and so far, got the majority among 49 wards of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and captured all 13 Municipal Councils and 6 Nagar Panchayats across Tripura.
The election to 19 of the 20 urban local bodies in Tripura passed peacefully on Wednesday. However, the first phase of the counting of the votes shows that LF is way ahead with highest number of votes in almost all the wards.
However, it is to be mention here that ward number 6, 7 and 8 has been captured by congress and the rest of the wards are being captured by Left front.
BJP gained the 2nd margin in 5 wards including Ward No. 13, 14, 15, 16, 18.
There is a festive mood outside the counting centres as the supporters of winning candidates have gathered in large numbers.
Tight security has been arranged in all the counting centres.
