AGARTALA, Dec 10 (TIWN): Women Association of Tripura on Thursday organized a State Committee meeting at MLA Hostel in Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School.

Addressing the meeting, Women Association leader Sapna Datta discussed about the preparation of State Conference to be held on 2016.

Besides, it has been that the committee is all set to take on the more members from the month of January. According to the scheduled programme, 6.65 Lakh women members are to be taken by the Samiti.

The procedure for taking the women members for the women samiti would end by February 15, 2016. Besides, it has been mentioned that the divisional conference to complete by the month of April.

However, the leaders of the Samiti appreciated the women who had worked hard during the Agartala Municipal Corporation, Municipal Election and Nagar Panchayat election.

Aiming to strengthen the women participant in the State in various skills, the women state committee has taken the initiatives.

During the programme, Minister Nijita Nath, CPI-M leader Rama Das, Krishna Bhowmik and others were present at the programme.

Besides, the leaders of the organization discussed about the various organization matter and on initiatives to make the upcoming programme successful.
