KAMALPUR, Dec 9 (TIWN): Much against the demand of vote-festivity trumpeted by CPI-M, the casting for Civic poll started in Ambassa with the terror and rigging of the cadres. Allegations are coming that the administration has virtually collapsed before the hooliganism of CPI-M cadres. Amidst such allegation of the opposition parties, the casting of votes for Ambassa Municipal Council continued this morning.

From the early morning voters started to gather in front of polling booths. The CPI-M cadres also started their tricks from the very beginning. Many voters alleged that they could not cast their own votes. Besides, violating all the rules and regulations, the CPI-M cadres and leaders gathered in front of booths. Many voters were carried to the voting counter by the cadres demanding them as unable to vote due to age.

The percentage of casting recorded as 56 percent till 2 pm. It would increase to the mark of 90 percent as per tradition, as demanded by the concerned section. The opposition parties Congress and BJP condemned the claim of free and fair election. They demanded the election to be a mere show of false democracy prevalent in the state.
