AGARTALA, Dec 8 (TIWN): Kamalsagar police on Tuesday arrested a 38-year old man crossing all limits of humanity raped a minor girl on Tuesday finding her alone on the way to School.
Reportedly, the incident is of Devipur, Kenania under Sepahijala District. According to reports the accused identified as Narayan Debnath (38), professionally an owner of grocery shop has done the heinous crime.
However, Kamalasagar Police has arrested the culprit handed over him to the women police of Bishalgarh.
According to the police official report, the culprit on Tuesday may produce before the Bishalgarh court.
Reportedly, the victim’s parent has lodged an FIR against the shopkeeper. The incident took place on Monday morning at Devipur, Kenania under Sepahijala District.
The girl narrated story to her parents on their return who immediately lodged a complaint in the Police Station.
However, the police are further carrying out their investigation. The incident has prevailed tension among the residence of the area. The victim’s family demanded for strict action against the culprit.
Of late crime against women are increasing at an alarming rate which includes torture, rape, murder and various other illicit act on the women by miscreants and sometimes by the family members themselves.
However, despite of increase in crime against woman at an alarming, the authority is playing role of silent spectator.
