KAMALPUR, Dec 8 (TIWN): The family of dead child Abhik Ghosh (12) of Fulchari died in a road accident on 2nd December last near his residence, seemed to be deprived of justice. And the scenario became so, as the police failed to nab the driver of the killer truck bearing number TR-04-1601 yet. Moreover, the owner of the vehicle, a wealthy and healthy contractor of repute in the locality started to offer bribes of lakhs of rupees to the victim’s father.
The grief-stricken father of deceased Abhijit namely Amritlal Ghosh expressed his pathos and pains with TIWN. And this brought forth the shameless role of police and administration. The investigating police of Kamalpur police station failed to nab the killer driver of the truck namely Amir Mia (24), a resident of Methirmia village. Moreover, when Amritlal knocked with the investigating officer Sujit Barman, he advised the bereaved father to request a CPI-M leader of Methirmia namely Azam Khan to present Amir before law.
In this situation, the owner of the vehicle, a wealthy and CPI-M backed contractor of the locality offered Amritlal several times to bribe lakhs of rupees on the condition that Amritlal would not file any case. Now, the hopeless father decided to knock the SDM just after the election for justice. If the father could get justice or not remained the matter of time.
