AGARTALA, Dec 8 (TIWN): Without completing even 500 meter work at Battala, the construction agency has move forward with the pilling work at Melarmath as one end of the fly over would end at Melarmath.

The pilling work for the construction of fly over at Melarmath has begun in full swing.  Although the construction work is underway but the slow progress of work shows that there is no assurance when will be the agency able to complete the work in the given duration?

After the successful report of the soil test and load test at Battala, cement casting for the pillar is going on in full swing at Melarmath. With the aim to meet the deadline for completing the fly over construction work is going on in speedy way.

It is to be mentioned here that the pilling work has just began at Melarmath to complete the work in the given deadline.

Iron frame structure for pillars is already set up with the help of steel and iron bars and cement concrete. With the ongoing days, it is seen that the work progress has gone down and there is no much development in the work.

It is to be mentioned here that as Battala has an open space, the construction agency has chosen battala to begin with the cement casting work. A total of 65 pillars will be constructed for the first ever fly over which will connect from Drop gate to fire brigade chowmuhani.

Once the cement casting for the first pillar at Battala gets complete the construction work will be expanded towards bordowali. The workers are working with full efficiency to finish the construction work in the given deadline.

However, with the half done construction work of the flyover at Battala the traffic chaos has gone high and with the extension of the work at Melarmath the traffic chaos is expected to go high in the coming days.

The flyover was a long term demand of the city dwellers and it needs to be introduced soon to contain heavy traffic congestion which is increasing along with the moving hands of the clock.

Once fly over is constructed, it is expected that the traffic congestion will be released.

It is to be mentioned here that pilling for flyover is underway at all the spots including Battala, Firebrigade chowmuhani as well as Melarmath.
