AGARTALA, Nov 26 (TIWN): India Dialogue on Thursday organized a one day seminar at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan on the occasion of Samvidhan Ka Samman Diwas.
The theme of the seminar was Constitutional values and today’s scenario – a perspective and future ahead.
It is to be mentioned here that any revolution takes decades to set in and sacrifices are made until the movement gets the involvement of the intellectuals of the society.
India Dialogue on Thursday organizes its first dialogue. The organization has dedicated the day to honour the Racheta of our Sambidhan, on the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar, the constitution day of India.
The organizer sincerely calls for the attention to the growing intolerance against religious freedom and freedom of speech that is more frequently visible.
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was born in the year 1891 on April 14, popularly known as Babasaheb. He was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer.
He campaigned against social discrimination against Untouchables (Dalits), while also supporting the rights of women and labour. He was Independent India's first law minister and the principal architect of the Constitution of India.
It is to be mentioned here that on November 26, Constitution was adopted and is observed as 'Samvidhan Divas' as a step towards spreading awareness about the life of its chief architect Dr. B R Ambedkar.
However, the day has been celebrated nationwide.
