Agartala, Sept 12(TIWN): A meeting between warehouse owners and west district administration was held here today evening..
Administration chalked out 37 norms which should be strictly followed by the owners. The main norms are – administration will inspects the godowns twice in a year, after three months owners should report to the administration what kind of goods are storied in the godowns and each godown should be equipped with fire safety equipments. Besides, the owners were directed to strictly follow all norms. If any of the norms are violated then stringent action will be taken by the administration. The godowns are reportedly given three months to fullfill all the norms. A sub divisional committee was formed today to monitor the implementation of norms. Meanwhile, in the meeting Agartala Muncipal Council was directed to chalk out those godowns which are located at residential areas. And those should be shifted at outskirt of the city.
